Back Beat Co caught our attention with bright colors and bold prints, but what made us stay around are the ethics of the brand.
This spring summer season is the first time we've gotten the brand in, and we could not love it more. I am currently sitting here writing this post in the organic cotton romper, and loving it. At the moment, it's 91* outside here in Minneapolis and humid AF, which is the situation all over the world right now. So what's the reason we love this brand so much? Sustainability is at the core of their brand ethics, and some climate consciousness is definitely what we all need right now.
Back Beat Co is located in Los Angeles, and everything from fabric, to pattern making, sewing, dying and everything else you could think of is located within 10 miles to reduce carbon emissions. The fabrics are also all natural and highly sustainable, such as hemp, Tencel, organic cotton and recycled cotton. Their designs are inspired by vintage tees with a modern twist.
And the fit?
Great...honestly, it runs a little bigger than some of the other brands we carry. Now we have only gotten their stretch material in the shop, but we love it because a lot of it (any of it!) can be gender neutral, and that we think this is why it runs a bit bigger.
So what can we expect from fall Back Beat? Super cozy cotton sweaters, lots of lime green, easy hoodies and waffle material layers!
